Toronto is a great city for families thanks in part to the large diversity of things for families to do. It doesn’t matter whether you’re looking for something educational or physical, or something indoors or outdoors, Toronto is sure to have an activity to satisfy the entire family. Here are the top six family activities in Toronto.
Royal Ontario Museum
The Royal Ontario Museum (or ROM) is a great place for the whole family to visit. Everyone will leave with more knowledge of world history than they came in with. Kids will especially enjoy the dinosaur exhibits, which depict dinosaur fossils. They’ll also be excited to see the ancient Egyptian mummies and artifacts.

If your kids love marine life, they’ll enjoy Ripley’s Aquarium. There are over 20,000 creatures to see in the aquarium, including jellyfish and sharks. Your family will come up close to the animals and learn more about them through the interactive exhibits.
Centreville Amusement Park
Centreville Amusement Park is a fun and budget-friendly option for families. There are many rides, including an antique horse carousel, a small Ferris wheel, bumper cars, and a swan ride. There’s even a small roller coaster that young kids can enjoy.
With over 5,000 animals on 710 acres, the Toronto Zoo is the largest zoo in Canada. The zoo is well laid-out, with different zones corresponding to the different continents of the world. Your family can take a trip around the zoo on foot or on the Zoo Mobile, which offers educational commentary about the animals and their habitats.
