If you visit New York City— America’s most populated city and arguably the coolest city in the country — you’ll want to hold on to the memories. There’s no better way to do that than snapping some pictures for your social media feed, and there’s no better place to make memories than at these 10 Instagrammable locations below!

1. Maman

With canopies of greenery intertwined with warm fairy lights above rustic wood tables, this stunning cafe will certainly liven up your Instagram page. Maman has 16 locations within New York City, all with the same chic, green vibe. If you’re not feeling up to posing with the plants, their coffee cups are equally pretty and Insta-worthy. They also have the best cookies in the city, so be sure to check them out!

2. Central Park Conservatory Garden

This expansive public garden in Central Park is the perfect place to have a picnic, go for a walk, or have an elaborate photo shoot. The garden has three distinct areas. There’s the South Garden, inspired by English perennial gardens and featuring a statue of The Secret Garden author Frances Hodgson Burnett among lilac and magnolia trees. The North Garden, styled after French parterre gardens, boasts tulips in the spring and chrysanthemums in the fall, along with the beautiful Three Dancing Maidens fountain. Finally, the Center Garden, as influenced by Italian Renaissance Gardens, is lined with crabapple trees and yew hedges. In this part of the garden sits a wrought-iron pergola adorned with wisteria.

3. The Met Steps, Upper East Side

Take a page out of Blair Waldorf’s book and hang out on the steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This culturally famous spot is a great place to snap some “Gossip Girl”-esque photos for the ’gram— just make sure you get there early, as it gets pretty crowded around lunchtime!

4. Pietro Nolita, Nolita

With pink seats, pink tables, pink walls, pink plates, and pink decor, this chic Lower Manhattan restaurant looks like it’s part of a Barbie playset. The monochromatic vibe is present throughout the entire eatery, including the exterior. You can swing by for some healthy Italian fare and have a pretty-in-pink photoshoot inside, or, you can have a mini photoshoot by the pink planters and benches at the entrance.

5. DUMBO

DUMBO doesn’t reference the popular Disney elephant— it actually stands for Downtown Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. While the entire neighborhood is cool and creative, the star of the show is the view. On cobblestone streets lined with classic New York brownstones, you can view the incredible Manhattan Bridge. The best places to catch this view— and maybe pose in front of it— are at the intersections of Washington & Water and Washington & Front.

6. Audrey Hepburn Mural, Little Italy

This vibrant mural is located in Little Italy on Mulberry Street. It displays film icon Audrey Hepburn with colorful abstract patterns striped through the otherwise black-and-white portrait. Whether you want to pose with it or just feature it on your feed, this artwork by Tristan Eaton is a must-see while you’re in town.

7. Pebble Beach, DUMBO

While New York City definitely isn’t known for its beaches, Pebble Beach is still a cool location to visit! Located on the south side of Main Street Park, the beach boasts stunning views of the Manhattan Bridge on the right and, on the left, the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline. The best time to visit for some beautiful photos is at sunset.

8. Flour Shop, Lower Manhattan

This rainbow-themed shop will be a lively addition to your Instagram feed, whether you’re snapping a picture of their exploding candy cakes or posing in front of their vibrant decor. Behind intricate white chairs and love seats is a painted rainbow that extends from the wall onto the floor. Above it, the wall quips in cursive: “Sprinkles and Smiles.” A collection of colorful balloons cover the ceiling and floor by the large storefront window, allowing the sunlight to brighten up the already-vibrant place.

9. Brooklyn Bridge

This popular tourist site and incredible landmark is the best spot to take some pictures and prove you’ve had the quintessential New York experience. It’s also an amazing place for a stroll, whether you take photos or not! Be sure to go in the mornings (maybe even catch the sunrise?) because it gets incredibly busy during the day.

10. Edge NYC, Chelsea

Watch your step! At 1131 feet tall and with floors made of glass, this observation deck is not for the faint of heart. Edge features astonishing 360° views as you lean out over the entire city. There are multiple admission options, including one that gets you a glass of champagne and a personalized photo book. Now that’s luxury!
