One of the biggest music festivals in the world is back this summer, and it will be bigger and better! Lollapalooza will start on July 28 and last for the usual four days ending on July 31. If you are going to Chicago’s biggest music carnival this year, here are six things you should know about this spectacular event.

1. The Festival Is Synonymous With Great Music And Good Vibes

It seems obvious, but it still needs to be said. Lollapalooza is about dancing, having fun, and experiencing great music – don’t be a moody cat and ruin everyone’s good time!

Just enjoy the musical side of life. Besides, being surrounded by happy people is the perfect way to stay healthy

2. This Year’s Lineup? Still Pretty Amazing

From hip-hop to techno and alt. rock – you name it, and you will find it here! This year’s headliners are Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, J Cole, Lil Baby, Kygo, Metallica, and Green Day. Other acts include Jazmine Sullivan., Big Sean, Young Nudy, King Princess, Muna, Kaskade, Wet Leg, Sofyago, and James Hype. Impressive? We think so!

3. Dress For The Occasion And… The Weather

Okay, so there’s no dress code for Lollapalooza – the trick is to wear something you are comfortable in. Wear shoes you will surely be able to dance in and breathable clothes. Also, bring a hat and sunglasses to protect your eyes from the hot sun!

Weather-wise, you never know what to expect from the Chicago weather. Just bring a jacket or hoody for when it gets chilly at night.

Other essentials may include binoculars, empty reusable water bottles, frisbees, small purses or fanny packs, baby strollers, personal-sized hand sanitizers, cameras without detachable lenses, and other accessories.

4. Book Parking Ahead Of Time

If you are driving to Lollapalooza, you’ll want to book parking as soon as possible. Only limited parking is available in the city or at the Grant Park, and the prices are pretty high too. By booking parking online in advance, you can save time and money. Once you arrive at the festival, all you need to do is drop off your car and head to the main gate.

5. It’s Not Just A Chicago Thing Anymore

Lollapalooza has been a Chicago event held at Grant Park every summer since 1991. In recent years, this festival has been adopted by many cities around the world. Paris, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Berlin, and recently Stockholm have welcomed Lollapalooza. Can’t be in Chicago this summer? No worries! You are only steps away from enjoying Lollapalooza in Stockholm or Paris.

6. Tickets And Prices

Tickets range from $125 for General Admission to $2000 for a Platinum Package.

With these simple measures in place, you can be worry-free and enjoy Lollapalooza to the fullest! Music is the best antidepressant – enjoy it!
