As a travel destination, Las Vegas is known for many things. Perhaps it is best known for its entertainment—from huge casinos to world-class shows. That’s what makes the city the perfect choice for bachelor or bachelorette parties, and for weekend getaways.

Did you know that Vegas is also a great spot for those seeking some adrenaline-filled activities? That’s right—there are lots of fun options for thrill-seekers to choose from when in Vegas. This means that you won’t need to spend all night gambling your money away in order to get an adrenaline rush. Keep reading to find out more about the fun activities you have at your fingertips when in Vegas.

Swim With Sharks

If you love marine animals, visiting an aquarium is likely at the top of your to-do list when traveling to a new city. Now, you can take your visit to the aquarium a step further by swimming with sharks!

In Vegas, guests at the Mandalay Bay Resort have the option of swimming with sharks at the Shark Reef Aquarium. The experience allows you to encounter 30 different types of sharks, including White Tip Reef Sharks and Sand Tiger Sharks. You’ll also receive an educational tour of the aquarium and equipment orientation.

Please note that you must be SCUBA certified to participate.

Leap Out of A Plane

If you can’t decide which adrenaline-pumping activity to do, perhaps you’ll want to stick with the classic: skydiving. You’ll feel completely free as you jump out of a plane thousands of feet in the sky.

In Vegas, there are plenty of local companies that offer skydiving lessons. This means that you can enjoy spectacular views of some of Nevada’s famous landmarks while in a free fall!

Skydive Las Vegas is a great choice for first-time skydivers. Their services allow you to view the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Las Vegas Strip while in the air. GoJump Las Vegas is another company that allows you to skydive over the Southern Nevada desert.

Take a Plunge Off The Stratosphere

Have you ever wanted to go bungee jumping? Well, in Vegas, you can have an experience very similar to bungee jumping by jumping off the Stratosphere Tower. It may not be the literal stratosphere, but the Stratosphere Tower holds the Guinness World Record for being the highest commercial decelerator descent facility. At 829 feet above the neon Las Vegas Strip, you can take the leap at speeds topping 40 miles per hour.

The Stratosphere Tower also houses the Top of The World—an upscale dining facility located more than 800 feet above ground. We recommend eating your dinner after you jump (to reward yourself and to avoid a mess).

Zip Line on Fremont Street

Other than the Las Vegas Strip, Fremont Strip is the most famous street in the Las Vegas Valley. It’s home to casinos, hotels and shopping malls. That alone sounds entertaining, but for the thrill seekers out there, there’s more to it! You can also zip line down Fremont Street, beginning at an 11-storey slot machine.

There are different levels of difficulty, so there’s no need to worry if it’s your first time on a zip line. The standard zipline is the easiest level of difficulty and starts at 77 feet high.
The Zoom line takes you 114 feet above the ground. No matter which you choose, you’re bound to get spectacular views of the famous street.
